A lot of shit happened last week. Both good and bad. I don’t know whether to feel happy or sad. 40% of me now wants to quit FFXI because of the growing population of immature players. I don’t care how old they are but as long as they act like a kid around me, I don’t like them. The other 60% of me wants to stay because of the friends I’ve made.
But I won’t give in just yet. There’s still much enjoyment in this game waiting for me and friends I want to adventure with. (Areu, get a hold of yourself and organize something fun for us for once.)
A few months ago, I mentioned about getting a new phone. Well, I went ahead and bought one without signing another 2 year contract for a discount. So it’s S$448 for my new Nokia 6170. I love it’s steel surface and classy look. And after some googling, I’ve managed to get the PC Suite working with my phone.
Here’s a photo of my desk at work.
Click on it for a larger unaltered image fresh from the phone taken at high quality (highest possible).
Not too shabby and not very good but I think it’s acceptable so far.
Quite a bad morning. (´Д`)
I overslept on the bus and got off one stop late.
Then I sneezed. Kept sneezing. Must’ve sneezed more than 10 times while walking to office. Sneezed till my throat hurts.
Stopped by at 7-11 for some cold/flu pills.
Yesterday there was company dinner at a sushi restaurant. After that I went home and had a 2 hour sleep before waking up for Dynamis(a FFXI thing). It was then I began to have a runny nose.
So now the flu pills are working, I’m sitting here blogging with my cup of coffee and listening to Maaya Sakamoto’s songs. Her crisp clear calm voice and soothing music made me feel much better. (´ー`)
Check out some samples of her songs here. Though I think it’s best that they be enjoyed in high quality.
Last week was the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year. So Monday and Tuesday was a public holiday. Seized the opportunity and took 3 days leave and so I was work-free last week.
Seriously, I don’t feel anything exciting this Lunar New Year. It was just another ordinary day like all the previous holidays. At least the way holidays are celebrated in Singapore is getting old, stupid and no longer interesting. I still like it here. Food, transport and living conditions are not bad. Heh, even one of the two Industrial Attachment students (aka interns) at my office agree that Ang Mo Kio is the best place to live in in Singapore. (She stays in Ang Mo Kio too. [:p])
Not much happened over the last week as I spent most of the time yet again in FFXI and watching a Japanese drama: 電車男.
Actually, I wanted to go back to Malaysia and spend a few worry-free days with my relatives. But that mood of wanting to go back came too late. Most air/bus tickets back are fully booked because of the Lunar New Year. Yea, lately work has stressed me to the point I want to get out of Singapore just to escape.
I’m kind of sick and disgusted by Singapore’s dramas. They are both lame and cheesy and 90% of the lifestyle portrayed by a Singapore drama is not what it really is. I’m quite sure this is what disgusts me and which is also why I don’t get sick of Japanese drama because I’ve never been to Japan. The "cheesiness" in Japanese dramas are within my tolerable levels and with my strong interest in Japanese culture, I enjoy watching Japanese dramas once in a while. [:D]
Meh, last week went by fast. Because I’m enjoying every minute of it doing whatever I like. Feels like I’ll turn 30 tomorrow. And will I still blog when I’m 50?
Hmmm… mental note to backup my blog entries tonight! /fear
It’s been raining a lot in many places of Singapore for the past 4-5(?) days. For some unknown reason, I like the sound of rain outside my window.
The other day when I walked home from the bus stop, it was drizzling lightly that time. The raindrops falling on me felt comfortable and I just forgot all the stress I had that day at work.
Till now, I haven’t had my mobile phone changed. Mum’s friend is too busy to meet up and I need her to transfer the account to me now that I have Singapore PR. I want to change my phone to one with a built-in camera to take photos for this blog~
