Homam pants is still very far from my reach, so I guess I’ll just settle with Amir pants for a while.

These pants aren’t as good as the Tracker Kecks, less 2 attack. I’m gimping myself just for a refreshing new look!

 

Back before the Aht Urhgan expansion was released, I was quite frustrated with my accuracy in EXP PTs that I wanted to buy Cursed Sollerets -1 for the Armada Sollerets. Thank god I didn’t.

Because the new expansion introduced Assault. And one of the rewards is a pair of Amir Boots, Accuracy+6 and Attack+5, a lot better than Armada solleret’s Accuracy+4, Attack+6, MND-11.

MND is also an important attribute for Guillotine WS.

Anyways, I finally got my Amir Boots. Costs 20,000 assault points from the Mamool Ja category.

But the one thing I hate is, it makes me look very ugly. Here’s a comparison.

So right now, I’m wearing Tracker’s Kecks to hide these new boots.

 

Thick Breeches (ACC+2, ATT+5) + Adaman Sollerets(ACC+3, ATT+5) = ACC+5, Attack+10

Tracker’s Kecks(ATT+6) + Amir Boots(ACC+6, ATT+5) = ACC+6, Attack+11

So in the end, it’s not so bad if I go with the new combo. Tracker’s kecks look sexy anyway. But I’ll still bring along my thick breeches for HNM fights like Kirin.

Since I’m an accuracy whore, I’m hoping to get Homam Cosciales(ACC+3, Haste+3%) in future.

First off, a bit of Kirin and reviewing my DRK.

The last Kirin I fought turned out to be pretty much the same as before the new group 2 merits were released. Diabolic Eye and Feint (used by a THF) helped a little. I ate Sole Sushi and still can’t hit well. I haven’t got my Amir Boots (+6 accuracy) though.

My spinning slashes average at around 850. Ranges from 700 to 1000.

This is why I meritted Great Sword to lv8 instead of Scythe.

I also hit PLD75 over the weekend in about 2~3 exp sessions. I honestly never expected to hit 75 this soon. I was expecting around early 2007. But thanks to a JP friend who static-ed with me, he easily formed PTs and we were off on EXP PTs going at 6000~8000exp/hour.

Sometimes, he would come as PLD/NIN and we have a strong skillchain SATAed on him. Thus, I ended up with uncapped shield skill. We’ll still be exping some more. Need buffer.

A lot happened over the weekend.

Now I’m left with the legs piece to complete PLD relic AF set.

Then I took a few hours sleep and joined my friend’s limbus LS at their Proto-Omega fight.

Parrying at 192! I survived an extra 5 seconds after getting hate from Proto-Omega.

We won on our first try. Killed it in the last 3 minutes. Those last 3 minutes were very intense as Proto-Omega still have 10~15% of HP left. We used chainspell stun, invincible during those last 3 minutes, BLMs went nuking and we killed it.

2 Omega’s eyes dropped but I lost lot on both. I looked up the Homam set and it’s pretty good to get for my PLD and DRK job.

Warped back to Al Zahbi, just in time for a LV5 Undead Swarm besieged.

By this time, 5 generals were down and the door to the Astral Candescene was open. Lamia No.9 almost entered but somehow someone managed to pull it away to the main open area. I went into the room for a bit of sightseeing~

We won in the end. Close call.

Then I went to take a nap. And joined a friend who invited me to level with his SAM. He had 2 other friends, a MNK and a RDM. In our 3 hours PT, we racked up 20,000 experience points. +2000 because I used my empress band twice (Used it at 1/10 in Jeuno and recharged it before we set off).

Adaman Cuirass (Body), Adaman Cuisses (Legs), Koenig Schaller (Head).

First things first, Qutrubs are weak to slashing. My 300% TP Spiral Hell did 3500. But because these are WEAK TO SLASHING, it’s surprising anymore so I didn’t take a screenshot, lol.

Considering they’re undead, they are probably weak to light, but I’ve seen a 3x damage darkness SC where it went over 11k points of damage. It’s screenshot only but since it was besieged, I trust it to be authentic.

My 100% TP Spinning Slash averages 2000~2500 on these. I tried a 300% Ground Strike before we disband but the result was a disappointing 2600. It could be that this qutrub used it’s defense up ability and my RDM haven’t dispelled it. And also, my Last Resort JA wasn’t ready to be used. 

 

After this little merit PT with friends, I got my 3rd merit and spent it to learn Diabolic Eye. This new group 2 merit JA reduces your max HP by 15% and increases your accuracy.

I don’t know how much accuracy it increases but looking at Vassago’s Scyhte (-5%HP +5 Accuracy) I’m going to guess my accuracy gets increased by 15. The whole effect lasts 4 minutes, which is pretty disappointing. Perhaps SE wanted to see how it’ll affect the gameplay before increasing the duration?
