2 new original software came in this morning at work. A Visual Basic.net Standard and Photoshop CS. Of course, the VB.net package is the first to be torn open by me. [XD]

Too bad there’s no tall wallspace at my cubical to stick up some of the VB.net posters. They would sure make me feel more like a developer and give a little motivation boost. Heh.

Right now I’m struggling with another bad cold. Nose running, eyes watery. Sheesh. I’m beginning to suspect the dust in the office. Perhaps it’s time for the aircon filters to be serviced again.

My minidisc player died, it’s motor stopped spinning. [:(]

So I went down to Bishan Junction 8 after work yesterday to buy the Discman I’ve set my eyes on few weeks ago. Up to 170 hours of play time which is only when you turn off all the functions that require more energy like it’s “Digital Re-Master” feature for MP3s. Capable of reading CD-R and CD-RW discs, supports MP3 files, looks good and it’s Made in Japan!

Alas, Best Denki at Junction 8 ran out of stock. Took a bus down to Thomson Plaza and tried my luck at the Best Denki outlet there. Great, they have them. And I chose the blue color one, same color as my minidisc player. Costs S$199.

I’m giving up on Sony. Although their products look fucking cool, they don’t seem to last after a year, and usually just when the warranty expires. Perhaps I just have bad luck with their products. Let’s see how this one fares. Also, Sony’s ATRAC compression does not appeal to me. In fact, it’s what keeps me away from their products. It’s an unneccessary feature for quality freaks.

Had a great week. It was mostly spent on gaming as expected. I do go out on
some nights. For the recent Sunday, I went swimming with a friend, and now I’m
aching all over. After swimming, I met up with my polytechnic friends for a
“picnic” at East Coast Park. It ended up more like another BBQ session.

Now back in the office, feeling neither happy that work has begun nor sad
that my vacation was over. Time to catch up on some web developer news and
forums I frequent.

Over the week, though I wanted to free up some harddisk space watching anime,
I ended up watching only one series, DearS.
Bleah. And I watched it on my second computer while waiting in FFXI on my main
computer for a invitation to an exp points party.

Meh heh heh heh heh heh. 7 more hours till my 1 week vacation. 6-15th November. That’s 9 freaking days of worry-free relaxation time. I plan to get some tan one of these days. Probably at the swimming complex, dip myself in chlorine for 30 minutes, apply lotion and take a worry-free nap in the sun.

I may or may not blog during this period. So pardon my absence, I really need this vacation, and thanks to all my readers who’ve been visiting my blog. [:D]

I just received the email from my boss.

I’m heading to HongKong for training on this Maximizer eCRM product on 15th November, will be back on coming Thursday. This is all too fucking sudden. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

I thought I could have had a stress-free 1 week relaxation. But nooooo. Now each hour I spend on FFXI, I will have to worry about what’s gonna happen to me there. Sigh…

Fuck timing.

Update: Relief! It got pushed back. Boss is trying to make it on the 22nd.
