Ahhhh……

Going to Bangkok, Thailand…

I don’t like to travel overseas unless the country I’m heading to is Japan….

I think I’ll be spending a week there. Of course, I have to go there because of work. I’m not sure what I’ll be doing there but I’m guessing a bit on the administrative workflow in hotels. I hope I get my own room again~ I think this will be the hotel I’m staying in.

Blah.

Also, FF7:Advent Children DVD was released! A fansubbed DVDrip was also released on bittorrent. I’m still downloading… ( T-T) 60% done at slow speeds… Should be finished by tonight. Cloud may probably turn me gay but Tifa will be there to set me straight.

Now listening to some early 90s songs sung by Megumi Hayashibara for various animes. Feels good…

not again…

And again, one comes all comes. Just a few days I backed up all my data files on my server PC from the second harddisk to the first. The second harddisk had bad sectors/clusters and produces clicking sound once in a while. Lucky it’s just the storage disk so I need not reinstall Windows2003.

Then, my PC at work went haywire. It kept shutting down all of a suddden. At first I thought it was the graphic card. The fan stopped spinning because too much dust went into it, and the capacitors on that graphic card are leaking. So I had it changed. But noooo. Problems still persist.

When I managed to boot into Windows 2000, I changed how the power button should work when pressed. I could only choose between "Shutdown" and "Stand By". Switched it to stand by. And instead of suddenly shutting down now, it goes into stand by mode.

Which leads me to believe that something’s wrong with the power button on the casing or the motherboard. Something’s triggering the power switch randomly without my intervention.

But, there are also cases where it completely just shut off. Take yesterday for example. There was a voice in my head screaming for me to save my files but I ignored it. Then suddenly, the screen went blank. There goes 100 lines of edited code.

It never rains, but it pours. ( T-T)

Toilet… Found it!

While doing the quest, Heaven Cent, for a little Tarutaru astronomer in Windurst Waters north, I uncovered the secret behind the iron door in the room where Argus spawns…. It’s….


A toilet!

And it comes equipped with a bottle of wine and a keg of beer!! But where’s the flushing cistern!?

This is the first toilet that I’ve found in Vana’diel… I should go on a journey in search of more of these. Before I left the room, I just had to use it!

After all these Vana years of secretly taking a leak among the trees in Yhoator Jungle, behind the bushes in West Sarutabaruta and in Aldo’s room, now I can do it without fear of getting caught in public!

It was so sudden. I learned that the Comex 2005 begins on the 1st of September so with friends, I went down to Suntec Exhibition Centre where this computer exhibition was held. 1 of them traded in his Audigy 1 for a $50 discount off the normal price of $229. Another brought an old and faulty SoundBlaster AWE. I just went ahead with the normal price.

Because I recently switched to new speakers, I didn’t have enough time to get used to Audigy2 + Klipsch so I couldn’t tell how much improvement this sound card brought me.

But I’ve tested the 24bit crystallizer and it makes music clearer. I’ve yet to test the Game Mode which supposedly improved game sounds. Also, my Winamp ASIO plugin can now resample music to 96KHz from the previous 48KHz which makes music very more natural!

Now more reason to open up the Half Life 2 voucher I got from buying my 9800PRO graphics card and install it.

Dead bees all over the place

As I step out of my house for work this morning, I see a cluster of dead bees on the floor outside my neighbour’s apartment. Let’s say about 20-30 dead bees.

A stone’s throw distance away, another cluster. And another, and another.

Walked down the stairs to the lift lobby. Found a huge cluster. Inside the elevator, about 3-4 dead bees on the floor. I took a closer look and notice the abdomen is light yellowish. Could these be wasps instead? I don’t know myself.

I have no idea what happened last night but I’m glad it wasn’t those nights that I would go out and meet a friend for supper.

Seeing these clusters of dead bees on the floor makes my skin crawl…..

Anyone have any clue of what could have happened?
