wat a lousy site you have! it’s simply a piece of shit!

Over at Donn’s blog,

Four annoying things to do if you’re bored
1. Frame somebody by going around commenting nastily on blogs, leaving somebody you know’s website and e-mail address and their name. The owner of the blog and the framed subject wouldn’t know what hit them! Cruel, yes, but a great idea, no doubt. PS: Works best when your target him or herself has a blog allowing comments — it’d be fun to watch the exchange!

I guess it’s not fun when the jokes on you. lol. I do have the person’s IP address logged on every comment made. But it’s not worth going through all the trouble finding the culprit. Things like these are okae as long as no life is lost.

No harm done Donn. [:)]

Yet again…

TIME!!! WHERE ART THOU???
Time flies too fast that by the time I noticed, I’m far behind in my race against it.

The past weekend went by rather fast. I watched Spiderman 2 on Saturday and enjoyed every minute of it, not just the impressive fight scenes between Spiderman and Doctor Octopus. The movie has parts that I could relate to and kept me thinking about how I should deal with my own life as of now. Towards the end of the show, I am more interested in Doc Ock as a villian rather than Spiderman. They have definitely chosen the right person, Alfred Molina to act as him. Anyways, do watch it if you have the time.

And here’s some photos of my room and the new machine.

Same old room.

My favourite mug and a tray from MOS Burger!

Thought of the day – Piracy

“Movie companies” or whatever have reported losses in billions because of internet piracy. But, let’s say, does a portion of that sum hold true?

If I feel this movie is interesting, but not worth my money, I will definitely not pay to watch it in the cinema. If it’s available for free, I may or may not spend a few hours or even days to download it for free. If I ever download, the movie producers lose my $8.50. But if I don’t, I won’t be paying to watch it and they still don’t get my $8.50.

Got that AMD Athlon64 3200+!!

Wheeeeee…

8.30pm-1am: Fixing up the hardware.

1-1.40am: Troubleshooting floppy drive, turned out the new floppy cable was faulty. Troubleshooting RAID installation. Turned out the floppy disk that came with the motherboard was buggy.

1.40-2.30am: Tried sleeping but can’t. Then idea struck me to copy the driver files from the CD into the floppy.

2.30-4.30am: Installing the rest of my harddisk drives, update Windows, installing usual software and configuring Windows settings. You can only have the 2 SATA Raid 0 disks connected if you want to install an operating system on that Raid 0 array.

4.30-7am: Sleeeeeep…

7-7.40am: Before I left for work, I tried playing Lineage2, using a friend’s game account, on the North American servers. It was wonderful. Finally am I able to experience smooth, high quality gaming. There’s still some choppiness in some areas but I have yet to install DirectX 9.0b so that could be the cause.

I managed to buy a CG stepping, ClawHammer core version of the Athlon64. CG stepping, from what I know, means better overclocking results and performance. ClawHammer means it’s the one with 2GHz core speed, 1024KB L2 cache. The other NewCastle core has 2.2GHz core speed but only 512KB L2 cache.

2 sticks of PC3200 CAS2.5 Corsair 512MB rams.

2 Western Digital 10,000RPM, 8MB cache, 36GB Raptor harddisks Stripe Raided. It simply means combining both harddisks into one, double the storage, double the read/write speeds of 1 Raptor. Because of this, WindowsXP Professional installed in only 10 minutes.

Here I go

To stir up my life a little, I have made a request to my boss for a bit of advance pay! Now I’m ready to get myself a better machine to takeover the internet! (as if possible).

Intensive research has been done to make sure my investment will be worthwhile. Calculations have been made to ensure I have enough resources to last myself till end of July. Responsibilities and consequences have been considered carefully before making this decision. So yea! I’m ready to pamper myself.

While roaming around DeviantArt, I came across the gallery of ArtGerm. And all I can say is I’m very, very impressed. His ability to produce different styles of artwork using the same software makes me jealous. Be sure to check him out! It’s good timing for me to discover his work. It’s arousing my artistic senses to make a new cover image for my blog for a new month.
