Bangkok – Day 0

Hmmm…. Boarding time is 9.25pm, flight is 2 hours 20 minutes long, Bangkok is 1 hour behind Singapore time.

Arrived at hotel, which is not really a hotel, but a “serviced apartment” usually, the guests who stay here stay at least 30 days. Usually, business people perhaps.

I’m sharing a 2 bedroom apartment with my boss, who will leave on Friday. My room has no bathroom but a huge bed and an LCD TV with a NHK Japanese channel!

We have wireless internet access here, which seems a little slow. I heard the traffic is routed to another country for the “main HQ” to manage the firewall for all it’s properties worldwide. May have heard wrongly here though.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Most likely leaving for Bangkok next week Thursday, for a week. The hotel I’ll be staying in has been confirmed to be the one I posted earlier, which is also a very beautiful place. [XD]

Back on topic, I’m done watching FF7:AC and all I can say is I’m extremely satisfied (remember that I’m a fanboy of sci-fi and fantasy). Inside of me went something like "Foooooooooowwwwaaahhhhhh!!!". After the movie, I’m too overwhelmed with different emotions. Blah, I’m going to find those FF7 PlayStation discs and hook up my PlayStation console again.

Cloud is cool. Enough to turn me gay (but I won’t [:p]). In FFXI terms, I’d say he’s DRK/NIN with a Job Trait that allows him to dual-wield great swords. [8|]

Here’s 1 single bolded line in this entry just to say: "Tifa is hot".

Yuffie, Barret, Cait Sith, Red XIII, Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind appeared in the movie but not for a long time. Reno and Rude on the other hand, appeared more often. Funny duo.

The mysterious hooded guy from the trailers had his identity revealed early in the show. [:(]

Aerith’s appeareance at the end of the movie, inside the church, instead of me feeling happy, I felt very sad instead and I still am right now. Perhaps those who played the game may understand why. *sigh*

This movie is by far, the best CG movie I’ve seen.

Also, a few days after this release, I noticed a lot of people using screencaps from the movie as their avatars and sigs in forums… [:\]

Ahhhh……

Going to Bangkok, Thailand…

I don’t like to travel overseas unless the country I’m heading to is Japan….

I think I’ll be spending a week there. Of course, I have to go there because of work. I’m not sure what I’ll be doing there but I’m guessing a bit on the administrative workflow in hotels. I hope I get my own room again~ I think this will be the hotel I’m staying in.

Blah.

Also, FF7:Advent Children DVD was released! A fansubbed DVDrip was also released on bittorrent. I’m still downloading… ( T-T) 60% done at slow speeds… Should be finished by tonight. Cloud may probably turn me gay but Tifa will be there to set me straight.

Now listening to some early 90s songs sung by Megumi Hayashibara for various animes. Feels good…

not again…

And again, one comes all comes. Just a few days I backed up all my data files on my server PC from the second harddisk to the first. The second harddisk had bad sectors/clusters and produces clicking sound once in a while. Lucky it’s just the storage disk so I need not reinstall Windows2003.

Then, my PC at work went haywire. It kept shutting down all of a suddden. At first I thought it was the graphic card. The fan stopped spinning because too much dust went into it, and the capacitors on that graphic card are leaking. So I had it changed. But noooo. Problems still persist.

When I managed to boot into Windows 2000, I changed how the power button should work when pressed. I could only choose between "Shutdown" and "Stand By". Switched it to stand by. And instead of suddenly shutting down now, it goes into stand by mode.

Which leads me to believe that something’s wrong with the power button on the casing or the motherboard. Something’s triggering the power switch randomly without my intervention.

But, there are also cases where it completely just shut off. Take yesterday for example. There was a voice in my head screaming for me to save my files but I ignored it. Then suddenly, the screen went blank. There goes 100 lines of edited code.

It never rains, but it pours. ( T-T)

Toilet… Found it!

While doing the quest, Heaven Cent, for a little Tarutaru astronomer in Windurst Waters north, I uncovered the secret behind the iron door in the room where Argus spawns…. It’s….


A toilet!

And it comes equipped with a bottle of wine and a keg of beer!! But where’s the flushing cistern!?

This is the first toilet that I’ve found in Vana’diel… I should go on a journey in search of more of these. Before I left the room, I just had to use it!

After all these Vana years of secretly taking a leak among the trees in Yhoator Jungle, behind the bushes in West Sarutabaruta and in Aldo’s room, now I can do it without fear of getting caught in public!
